About Christmasify

The Christmas magazine that covers the holiday with the depth and curiosity it deserves.

What We Do

Christmasify is a Christmas content magazine. We cover the holiday with the depth and seriousness that most publications reserve for politics or sport. That means 493 movie reviews with actual opinions, 171 recipes tested and photographed, 36 carol histories tracing songs back to their origins, and editorial coverage of how 100 countries celebrate the season, from the KFC buckets of Tokyo to the pepperpot of Georgetown.

We are not a generic holiday blog. We do not publish listicles of "10 Fun Things to Do This Christmas." We write about Christmas the way Smithsonian Magazine writes about culture: with curiosity, specificity, and a genuine belief that the subject is worth taking seriously.

What We Cover

Our content spans six major areas:

  • Recipes - 171 Christmas recipes from cookies and main courses to drinks and desserts, organized by course, cuisine, dietary need, and occasion.
  • Movies - 493 Christmas movie reviews with editorial ratings, fun facts, and curated collections (classic, family, Hallmark, Netflix, and more).
  • Entertainment - Games, quizzes, trivia, jokes, riddles, quotes, and activities for parties and family gatherings.
  • Carols & Songs - Lyrics, history, and the stories behind 36 Christmas carols and songs.
  • Around the World - How 100 countries celebrate Christmas, with traditions, food, markets, and cultural context for each.
  • Gift Ideas - Curated gift guides for her, him, mom, stocking stuffers, and Secret Santa.

Our Approach

Every piece of content on Christmasify follows a set of principles:

Facts over fluff. When we say Silent Night was first performed in 1818 in Oberndorf bei Salzburg, we mean it. When we say Czechs consume over 6,000 tonnes of carp each Christmas, that number is real. We anchor everything in specifics because vague seasonal content helps nobody.

Opinions welcome. Our movie reviews have ratings. Our recipe introductions have personality. Our country profiles take positions on what makes each celebration distinctive. We are not an encyclopedia. We are a magazine, and magazines have a point of view.

Global perspective. Christmas is not one thing. It is hundreds of things, shaped by geography, religion, history, and climate. A website about Christmas that only covers the American or British version is missing most of the story. We cover 100 countries because 100 countries have something worth saying.

Substance over SEO. We write for readers first. Search engines reward content that genuinely answers questions, so we focus on making every page the best available resource on its topic. The traffic follows.

Languages

Christmasify is published in four languages: English (primary), Czech, Slovak, and Polish. Content is authored in English and localized for Central European audiences. URL slugs, navigation, and UI strings are translated for each locale.

Content Integrity

We do not fabricate quotes, statistics, or survey results. If we are not confident about a specific date, number, or claim, we leave it out. Our movie ratings reflect genuine editorial assessment, not aggregated scores from other platforms. Our recipes are structured with real ingredients, real cook times, and real serving sizes.

The Site displays advertisements through Google AdSense. Advertising does not influence our editorial content, ratings, or recommendations. Where affiliate links are used, they are disclosed.
